Jaime Reyes, played by Xolo Maridueña, is a young man who returns home after graduating from university and discovers that things have changed in his absence. As he seeks to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotech: The Scarab.
When the relic chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, it grants him an incredible armor with extraordinary and unpredictable powers, thus changing his destiny forever as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.
