From creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, 9-1-1 explores the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. The Resident, airing on January 21st with a two-night premiere event, opens the curtain on the world of hospitals. According to co-creator and executive producer, Amy Holden Jones, the show is trying to show you what no one knows what happens in hospitals “the show isn’t dark — it’s about the younger idealistic doctors. They want to change the system that’s full of corruption. It’s about the good guys.” When asked about what it was like working on a medical drama, Emily VanCamp who plays Nicolette Nevin, shared that is not the typical medical drama, it was like learning choreography and a new language. Manish Dayal, Dr. Devon Pravesh, said YouTube has been their friend with learning correct pronunciation. Melina Kanakaredes, Dr. Lane Hunter, even added that she’s learned a few things! Manish Dayal who plays Dr Devon Pravesh shared that the structure of the show is unique, and added that the audience is going to experienced different points of views of what happens in a hospital, hospital life, culture, politics. “The Audience Will Connect” adds Dayal. Merrin Dungey who plays Claire Thorpe, shared “at the end of the day is a business, it’s money, is not just about saving lives, the audience will get that point of view”. When asked about if the show will depict any current events like the Harvey Weinstein sexual harrassment cases, Amy Holden Jones Co Creator and executive producer said that the the show does deal with an episode of sexual harrassment. It’s a page turner, you want to know what happens next. It has thriller notes and comedy, is a very female empower show and “my impact of not being treated as a creator equally”added Amy Holden Hones. She also explained that ‘The Resident’ will show the truth, and that the truth doesnt get out of the ER most of the time.

The panel discussion got me real interested in watching this show, so I will leave you with some of the notes and phrases i wrote down, that might spark your interest too:

“It has a  David and Goliath quality to it”. To Change a system that is full of competition-Amy Holden Jones (co-creator & executive producer)

“The cost of health care, how does this debate figures in your writting, that is the core of the show, in the U.S. is a business. The corruption in medicine is the cause of all the problems”  Amy Holden Jones (co-creator & executive producer)

Music is forever. You can’t stop that.” There you have it, aspiring singers, go for it, may the FOUR be with you! Make sure to catch The Four on Thursday nights at 8/7c on FOX.

“I am very excited and proud to be the host of THE FOUR: BATTLE FOR STARDOM,” said Fergie. “This is a unique and modern show format that I believe will set the standard for the next generation of singing competition series on TV. I am looking forward to being by the contestants’ sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these amazing panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry.”

“Fergie is a genuine superstar,” said Rob Wade, President, Alternative Programming and Specials, Fox Broadcasting Company. “She’s fierce, she’s a force in her own right and she knows exactly what these singers are going through. So who better than her to help guide them as they fight their way to the finish.”

Influencing a generation of stars to follow, Fergie remains pop’s leading lady. On September 22, the eight-time Grammy® Award-winning multi-Platinum solo artist released her anxiously awaited visual experience and second full-length album, “Double Dutchess” – the first release for her own Dutchess Music, the label she founded in partnership with BMG this year. The Visual Experience quickly captured the No. 1 spot on iTunes, in addition to the album becoming the No. 1 pop album in the United States, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Current Pop Albums Chart, No. 4 on the Top Independent Albums Chart and No. 9 on the Top Albums Chart. It became a runaway smash globally, going Top 10 on iTunes Overall in eight countries and Top 5 on the iTunes Pop Albums Charts in 11 countries. It’s gaining even more steam as she sets her sights on a 2018 world tour. This blockbuster follows up one of the most successful albums of this century, “The Dutchess,” which sold 7.2 million albums and 29 million tracks around the globe and yielded three No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits: “London Bridge,” “Glamorous” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” as well as Top 5 smashes “Fergalicious” and “Clumsy.” She also remains a driving force in The Black Eyed Peas, whose legacy eclipses sales of 35 million records and 60 million tracks over the course of four multi-Platinum offerings. Once again, she sets the pace for pop. Sean “Diddy” Combs will serve as a producer on the series. “Like” THE FOUR: BATTLE FOR STARDOM on Facebook at facebook.com/TheFourOnFox. It’s Jess! (And Schmidt, Cece, Nick, and Winston! Jumping forward three years, New Girl panelists were wary of sharing too many spoilers of what to expect on it’s 7th and final season. With only 8 episodes, emotions will be high as we say by to this “New Girl”. We asked if, after almost a decade of being these characters, the cast has absorbed any of their characters’ mannerisms. Lamorne Morris, who plays Winston Bishop, shared he’s picked up some Schmidt and Coach habits and Hannah Simone, who plays Cece Parekh, said some of her behind the scenes real-life stories have been written into the seasons. Two things the cast and crew can share with us is that there will be a death of someone significant and there will be one last game of True American. Though she was just a “New Girl” when she came into our screens on September 20th, 2011, Jessica Day has become so much more. The final season of “New Girl” premieres on April 10th.

One common thread throughout the whole day at FOX TCA was the inclusion of women in the writer’s rooms and making sure women’s voices are heard and voiced in the right way. 2018 has just started and we’re feeling the eagerness of content creation for the masses. Between 9-1-1, The Resident, Family Guy, The Four, LA to Vegas and New Girl, we don’t doubt FOX TV has what you’re looking for.

And the final season of comedy New Girl premieres Tuesday, April 10. Guest stars for the season include Jamie Lee Curtis, Rob Reiner and Damon Wayans, Jr. There will be eight episodes, said Fox, and it will wrap with an hour finale May 15. The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day, Jake Johnson as Nick Miller, Max Greenfield as Schmidt, Lamorne Morris as Winston Bishop and Hannah Simone as Cece Schmidt. JB Smoove and Tig Notaro will make their series debuts in guest-starring roles. Chernin Entertainment produces New Girl in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Elizabeth Meriwether. Meriwether, Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Erin O’Malley are executive producers, with Meriwether, Baer and Finkel the co-showrunners.

FINAL SEASON OF “NEW GIRL” TO PREMIERE TUESDAY, APRIL 10, ON FOX Eight-Episode Final Season to Feature Returning Guests Stars, Including Nasim Pedrad, Damon Wayans, Jr., Dermot Mulroney, David Walton, Nelson Franklin, Sam Richardson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner

Guest Stars JB Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Tig Notaro (“One Mississippi”)

The seventh and final season of the critically acclaimed and award-nominated NEW GIRL will premiere Tuesday, April 10 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The eight-episode final season will have a special one-hour finale on Tuesday, May 15 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Ensemble comedy NEW GIRL takes a modern look at friendship and romance, as a group of five friends attempt to find their respective places in the world, while begrudgingly accepting the responsibilities of adulthood – with often hilarious results. The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day; Jake Johnson as Nick Miller; Max Greenfield as Schmidt; Lamorne Morris as Winston Bishop; and Hannah Simone as Cece Schmidt. As the series’ sixth season came to a close, Jess told Nick of her true feelings for him. Also, Winston and Aly (guest star Nasim Pedrad) got engaged, and Cece and Schmidt received news that they are expecting. When the series returns for its final season, a three-year time jump will have occurred. Jess and Nick are happily together and returning from a whirlwind European book tour; stay-at-home dad Schmidt and working mom Cece are raising their daughter, Ruth; and Winston and Aly are married, with a child on the way.

In addition to Nasim Pedrad, the final season will feature the return of many of the series’ notable guest stars, including Damon Wayans, Jr., Dermot Mulroney, David Walton, Nelson Franklin, Sam Richardson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner. JB Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Tig Notaro (“One Mississippi”) also will make their series debuts in guest-starring roles. Premiering on Sept. 20, 2011, NEW GIRL has been nominated for five Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards. In its debut season, the series earned a Writers Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Television – New Series, and more recently received a nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Television – Episodic Comedy.

NEW GIRL is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Elizabeth Meriwether. Meriwether, Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Erin O’Malley are executive producers, with Meriwether, Baer and Finkel serving as co-showrunners/writers and Kasdan and O’Malley directing multiple episodes of the series.
