The Resident, airing on January 21st with a two-night premiere event, opens the curtain on the world of hospitals. According to co-creator and executive producer, Amy Holden Jones, the show is trying to show you what no one knows what happens in hospitals “the show isn’t dark — it’s about the younger idealistic doctors. They want to change the system that’s full of corruption. It’s about the good guys.” When asked about what it was like working on a medical drama, Emily VanCamp who plays Nicolette Nevin, shared that is not the typical medical drama, it was like learning choreography and a new language. Manish Dayal, Dr. Devon Pravesh, said YouTube has been their friend with learning correct pronunciation. Melina Kanakaredes, Dr. Lane Hunter, even added that she’s learned a few things! The Visual Experience quickly captured the No. 1 spot on iTunes, in addition to the album becoming the No. 1 pop album in the United States, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Current Pop Albums Chart, No. 4 on the Top Independent Albums Chart and No. 9 on the Top Albums Chart. It became a runaway smash globally, going Top 10 on iTunes Overall in eight countries and Top 5 on the iTunes Pop Albums Charts in 11 countries. It’s gaining even more steam as she sets her sights on a 2018 world tour. This blockbuster follows up one of the most successful albums of this century, “The Dutchess,” which sold 7.2 million albums and 29 million tracks around the globe and yielded three No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits: “London Bridge,” “Glamorous” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” as well as Top 5 smashes “Fergalicious” and “Clumsy.” She also remains a driving force in The Black Eyed Peas, whose legacy eclipses sales of 35 million records and 60 million tracks over the course of four multi-Platinum offerings. Once again, she sets the pace for pop. Sean “Diddy” Combs will serve as a producer on the series. “Like” THE FOUR: BATTLE FOR STARDOM on Facebook at facebook.com/TheFourOnFox. It’s Jess! (And Schmidt, Cece, Nick, and Winston! Jumping forward three years, New Girl panelists were wary of sharing too many spoilers of what to expect on it’s 7th and final season. With only 8 episodes, emotions will be high as we say by to this “New Girl”. We asked if, after almost a decade of being these characters, the cast has absorbed any of their characters’ mannerisms. Lamorne Morris, who plays Winston Bishop, shared he’s picked up some Schmidt and Coach habits and Hannah Simone, who plays Cece Parekh, said some of her behind the scenes real-life stories have been written into the seasons. Two things the cast and crew can share with us is that there will be a death of someone significant and there will be one last game of True American. Though she was just a “New Girl” when she came into our screens on September 20th, 2011, Jessica Day has become so much more. The final season of “New Girl” premieres on April 10th.
One common thread throughout the whole day at FOX TCA was the inclusion of women in the writer’s rooms and making sure women’s voices are heard and voiced in the right way. 2018 has just started and we’re feeling the eagerness of content creation for the masses. Between 9-1-1, The Resident, Family Guy, The Four, LA to Vegas and New Girl, we don’t doubt FOX TV has what you’re looking for.
And the final season of comedy New Girl premieres Tuesday, April 10. Guest stars for the season include Jamie Lee Curtis, Rob Reiner and Damon Wayans, Jr. There will be eight episodes, said Fox, and it will wrap with an hour finale May 15. The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day, Jake Johnson as Nick Miller, Max Greenfield as Schmidt, Lamorne Morris as Winston Bishop and Hannah Simone as Cece Schmidt. JB Smoove and Tig Notaro will make their series debuts in guest-starring roles. Chernin Entertainment produces New Girl in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Elizabeth Meriwether. Meriwether, Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Erin O’Malley are executive producers, with Meriwether, Baer and Finkel the co-showrunners.

The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day; Jake Johnson as Nick Miller; Max Greenfield as Schmidt; Lamorne Morris as Winston Bishop; and Hannah Simone as Cece Schmidt. As the series’ sixth season came to a close, Jess told Nick of her true feelings for him. Also, Winston and Aly (guest star Nasim Pedrad) got engaged, and Cece and Schmidt received news that they are expecting. When the series returns for its final season, a three-year time jump will have occurred. Jess and Nick are happily together and returning from a whirlwind European book tour; stay-at-home dad Schmidt and working mom Cece are raising their daughter, Ruth; and Winston and Aly are married, with a child on the way.
In addition to Nasim Pedrad, the final season will feature the return of many of the series’ notable guest stars, including Damon Wayans, Jr., Dermot Mulroney, David Walton, Nelson Franklin, Sam Richardson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner.
